To COPY Nintendo Wii Games you need a console with WiiKey modchip (search on google) installed in Wii + WiiKey SETUP disc with the DUMP software and an SD card where the raw game data will be stored. The SD card can be any size as the 4.7GB of data will be split in part and later can be rejoined on PC.

Wii Backup Instructions

Wii Mask ROM refers to a kind of ROM (read-only memory) whose contents are programmed by the IC manufacturer. In other words, it is not a user-programmable ROM. Since the process is costly, mask ROM is used when the needed volume is high and it is absolutely certain that the contents will not change.It is common practice to use UV-EPROM for the development phase of a project, and only after the code/data have been finalized is mask ROM ordered.The main advantage of mask ROM is its cost, since it is significantly cheaper than other kinds of ROM, but if an error in the data/code is found, the entire batch must be thrown away.

WiiKey Base Disc

The base 1.2 disc for the WiiKey is a DVD packed with application for Nintendo Wii consoles that have been modded with WiiKey Modchip. It’s main purpose is to configure the WiiKey modchip settings. Along side of it’s basic practical uses, this base disc allows users to backup their Wii/Gamecube games to an SD card via a GCMC (gamecube memory card) to SD adapter, Load media (game’s, emulators, applications, audio and video) via the SD-GCMC adapter and/or DVD media, and play a variety of classic SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) video game ROMs via the SNES9x emulator.

WiiKey Review:
The WiiKey was announced at the beginning of February 2007 and shipped to the stores at the end of the month. It is one of many drive modchips available for the Nintendo Wii and it acts as a firmware replacement funneled through the debug serial port – tricking the DVD drive into believing that Copied DVD-R backup is in fact a legit original game DVD. This trick works much like current Xbox 360 chips do. Like its current competitors, the WiiKey is installed onto the Wii’s drive either by quicksolder or using six wires. Mod-chip can then be updated through the use of a Setup DVD Disc which can be downloaded from the WiiKey website.

Compatibility of WiiKey is very good – no slowdowns / stuttering and region patching on the Wii does indeed work. The WiiKey performs as expected and does a good job. It gladly accepts any disc you throw at it (provided it is a good enough brand/dye of course) also if it is rewrittable

"Moviestar" Flash Player will have Streaming HD Video Support

The final build of Adobe Flash Player 9 Update 3, also dubbed “Moviestar”, has finally been released, adding streaming high-definition video support.

Flash, the dominant delivery method for Web video for years now, is actually adding support for the H.264 video Codec, one of the standard encoding choices for Blu-ray and HD DVD movies. For audio, Flash will now support High Efficiency AAC.

Another new feature is that “Adobe has enabled the hardware acceleration mode of many graphics cards, when going to full-screen mode.” Previous versions relied on software acceleration and therefore the player’s ability to scale a video in the best quality possible was hindered.

Online video startup Hulu will be the first partner to offer Flash video in high-definition although its HD library is small at the moment.

50 Cent Stands Behind File Sharing

In an interview before he got up on stage in Oslo, Curtis Jackson, better known as the rapper 50 Cent, made a few notable comments about file-sharing, even going as far as to say “What is important for the music industry to understand is that this really doesn’t hurt the artists!”

It is important to mention that 50 Cent is not some small, up and coming artist. He has sold over 20 million albums as a solo artist and owns his own record label, G-Unit Records.

During the interview, 50 Cent was asked “How are G-Unit Records doing in these times of file-sharing?

“Not so good.” he responded. “The advances in technology impacts everyone, and we all must adapt. Most of all hip-hop, a style of music dependent upon a youthful audience. This market consists of individuals embracing innovations faster than the fans of classical and jazz music.”

“What is important for the music industry to understand is that this really doesn’t hurt the artists.”

For years now, anti-piracy groups such as the RIAA have gone on about how file-sharing hurts not only the industry, but the artists as well. 50 Cent clearly does not agree.

“The concerts are crowded and the industry must understand that they have to manage all the 360 degrees around an artist. They, (the industry), have to maximize their income from concerts and merchandise. It is the only way they can get their marketing money back.”

He finishes up: “The main problem is that the artists are not getting as much help developing as before file-sharing. They are now learning to peddle ringtones, not records” he added.

“They don’t understand the value of a perfect piece of art.”
